Anna Sapershteyn is a multidisciplinary artist who focuses on performance and aerial arts. From stilt walking to trapeze, to silks, to puppetry ~ On top of these she works with different forms of visual art, clothing design and poetry writing, she is literally oozing from every direction and medium with artistic talents. Just hanging out and chatting with Anna feels like you're in some kind of circus/cabaret/weirdo show in the making. This feeling applies equally to the space she creates in. Part home,part art gallery,part creation space, part chill womb, there is inspiration everywhere. In every nook and cranny, on every wall and in every drawer, there is something of interest, something artful, something with history and intention.
During this shoot Anna took me around her home and showed me all the spaces where the magic happens. Of course, a strong feature in these captures is her most recent creation with her partner Matthew, their little babe Sophia, which highlights her new artistic practice as a mother.
